UCB-Syber Co-Branded Visa prepaid card Terms and Conditions
This document constitutes the agreement outlining the terms and conditions under which the Visa Prepaid Card has been issued. The Card is issued by UCB, pursuant to a license from Visa.
You agree to provide accurate information as per the data fulfilled during the card request, the Card will be issued based on the required information that you have provided.
Agreement to Terms
By requesting UCB Visa prepaid Card, you agree to the terms of this agreement noting that UCB and SyberPay reserves the right, to modify or update the terms and conditions from time to time as it deems fit which modifications or updates shall automatically be binding on you upon publication at Syberpay Website. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to check regularly for updates to the terms and conditions at the above site, and to immediately discontinue use of the card and Cancel it if you disagree with the updated terms and conditions.
The Agreement shall terminate on the expiry of the Card issued to you under the Agreement or in case of card cancellation by the customer or the bank.
In this Agreement, “you”, “your”, “cardholder” and “The customer” mean the person who requested the Visa prepaid Card. “The Bank” is United Capital Bank and is consider the card issuer “Card” means UCB VISA prepaid card. “PIN” means personal identification number. “Card Account” means the USD account we maintain on your behalf to track your Card balance and record transactions made using your Card.
The Card is a stored value prepaid card which allows you to access the Available funds, it may be issued in virtual and/or physical form as per your request. The card needs to be loaded to make purchases or withdrawals. The Card is reloadable using any of SyberPay funding means. The Visa physical prepaid card is valid for use inside and outside Sudan at POS machines, on websites, and for ATM cash withdrawals, whenever there is Visa acceptance logo however the Visa virtual card is only valid to be used Online. The Cardholder shall Load the Card balance in USD following any of the funding means provided by SyberPay.
The Card Account currency is USD accordingly when you request UCB Visa prepaid card, all entries in the cardholder’s account for any Transaction shall be in USD, and the value of transaction shall be converted to USD at the bank’s exchange rate on the date of the settlement. The bank shall also charge its commission for the exchange rate of currency. Customer shall not be entitled to object to these rates.
Physical Visa prepaid Card
You have to follow the directions on SyberPay application to receive the card and activate it prior to use. Your personal identification number (“PIN”) will be sent to you on your registered mobile no. after the first card load. You shall not disclose the Card's PIN to any person or write it on the card itself and be solely held liable for any transactions made using the Card's PIN.
You must enter the PIN for purchasing goods or services or making cash withdrawal. The bank allows the card to be used in contactless payments where some payments will be accepted without the need to enter the PIN.
The bank allows online purchases and payments using the physical prepaid card number. This requires you to enter the three number found on the back of the card (CVV) for every purchase. The cardholder will sometimes receive one time password (OTP) through SMS on their mobile number registered, to complete the online purchasing process.
Virtual Visa prepaid Card
Will be automatically generated in SyberPay Mobile application once requested, the card number and expiry date will be on the application while card verification value (CVV) will be sent to your registered mobile no., You shall preserve the CVV and not disclose it to anyone. You have to Load your card prior to use for online purchases
You must enter the (CVV) for every purchase. Online transactions conducted through websites bearing the VBV “Verified By Visa” logo is more secured as you will receive one time password (OTP) through SMS on your registered mobile number, to complete the online purchasing process. This OTP is dynamic and different for each transaction.
The Bank shall not be held liable for any online transactions made via websites that do not have the feature of Verified by Visa to receive the one-time password (OTP) offered by the Bank.
Customer should make sure there are enough funds available in UCB Visa prepaid card to cover the amount of Transaction and any applicable fees – customer will only be able to carry out transactions using his/her Prepaid Card to the extent of the card available Balance.
The bank has the right to set a card limit, which consider as the maximum balance for the card, also various limits (daily/weekly/monthly) may apply to the Card in respect of Transaction and the transacted amounts. The bank shall be entitled from time to time to change these limits at its own discretion and notify the cardholder with this new limit in the manner deemed appropriate by the Bank.
In case the Load amount exceeds the maximum balance permitted by the bank, then at the bank discretion such excess amounts shall either not be Loaded, or not to be available for payments.
You must do all that you reasonably can to keep the Card, PIN and CVV secret and safe at all times and not to disclose them to any third party even the bank or SyberPay. You must never; (i) allow anyone else to use the Card, PIN or other security details; (ii) write down the PIN or any other security information together with the Card.
keep your Mobile Device and SIM Card safe at all times and if any unauthorized use, fraud, loss or theft occurs (or You suspect has occurred) immediately call the bank to deactivate/stop your Card.
The customer remains responsible for any transactions made using the card, physical or virtual, as long as it is in his/her possession, unless the card is deactivated or reported to be lost or stolen.
In case that the Card is lost or stolen, the Cardholder shall promptly contact UCB's Call Center via hotline number (00249 – 183247700) to enable the Bank to immediately stop the Card. The Cardholder shall be solely held liable for any transactions made using the Card as of the loss/theft date up till the date of notifying the Bank.
The bank has the right to charge the customer with transfer balance fees, when the customer requests a new card and request to transfer the balance.
The Bank shall not be held liable in any respect if any merchant/ ATM/POS does not accept the Card or the Card number for any transaction.
Charges payable for the execution of each Transaction will be deducted from your Account on successful completion of each Transaction. The Charges that will be levied for Transactions can be found on Syberpay website and may be updated from time to time without notice.
The card will remain the property of the Bank and must be surrendered upon demand. The Card is nontransferable and may be canceled or revoked at any time.
You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations (including any foreign exchange controls) in respect of prepaid cards issued in Sudan.
The bank has the right to charge fees on the card and transactions. The fees are subject to change from time to time, in accordance with the Agreement, you agree to pay and authorize the bank to debit the available Funds for the fees.
The customer has the right to deactivate UCB Visa prepaid card temporarily or Cancel UCB Visa prepaid Card permanently through SyberPay mobile application.
Customer has to use the balance available in UCB VISA prepaid card before cancelling the card, as the bank and SyberPay have the right to charge the customer with redemption fees if balance redemption is requested after cancelling the card, The amount of this redemption fee can be found on Syberpay website and may be updated from time to time without notice.
Your Card expires on the last day of the Expiry month set out on the physical Card or reflected on SyberPay application for the virtual card.
Bank has the right, at its absolute discretion, to cancel the card, if (a) you break any part of this Terms and Conditions and fail to resolve the matter to our satisfaction in a timely manner; (b) if you fail to pay when due card Fees or charges.
If an entity issues a refund voucher related to a transaction made via the Card, the Bank shall credit the refund value to the Card Account upon receiving the new voucher from the entity. If no vouchers are issued or forwarded to the Bank, the relevant amount shall remain charged to the Card Account and any claim made by the Cardholder against the entity shall not be subject to any set off, reverse entries or sub-claim against the Bank.
The bank record of any Transaction shall be final and binding. The customer has the right to submit dispute, through SyberPay mobile application, for any transactions that has been debited to the card account. The dispute must be submitted within 30 days from the transaction date.
In the event that the customer is entitled to the disputed amount, it will be credited to the card account after specified period in accordance with the procedures followed by the bank and Visa international and without the right for any objection from the cardholder. In case it is proved the non- eligibility of the customer to dispute the transaction amount, the bank preserves the right to charge the customer with dispute management fees.
You can check your available Balance and last 25 transactions through SyberPay mobile application. You will not be provided with a printed statement.
With respect to any information we collect from you as a result of your Card, we will only share such information related to your card, from time to time, subject to any applicable financial privacy laws or other laws or regulations, (a) where it is necessary for completing transactions; (b) in response to any subpoena, summons, court or administrative order, or other legal process which we believe requires our compliance; (c) in connection with collection of indebtedness or to report losses incurred by us; (d) in compliance with any agreement between us and a professional, regulatory or disciplinary body; and (f) to service providers who help us meet your needs by assisting us in providing the services under this Agreement.
This agreement will be governed by the laws and regulations of Sudan.
The client’s signature in this contract constitutes an acceptance on their part to be notified of any information or any transaction made by their Card through (SMS) on their mobile number registered with the Bank; and the Bank retains the right to notify the client of any information or correspondence that the Bank deems appropriate through short text messages (SMS) on their mobile phone number, or through a message directed to the client’s e mail, or via a phone call as provided in the data registered with the Bank.
